Hello, and Welcome to episode 1 of the Inspirited Wellness Podcast.
My name is Christina and I’m a wife, homeschooling mother of 3 (my oldest is special needs), Flower Essence and Gemmotherapy Practitioner, as well as a Homeopath in training. I’m also a Holistic Life Coach and a big proponent of self-coaching. I actively bring the mindset component into the natural medicine framework.
This podcast is for people who take responsibility for not only their health and wellness, but in all areas of their lives. So, if you want more clarity, peace, and improved health in your life, you understand that a truly healthy lifestyle is a long-game, but completely worth it, then you’re in the right place!
Today’s topic is the missing component in your wellness strategy.
Putting the pieces together
What does that mean? I find that many people have pieces of the health and wellness picture. We know that nutrition and movement is important (we’re constantly inundated with different diets and workout plans), but these are pieces of a larger picture. For example, someone may think they’re healthy because they go to the gym every day, but most of the rest of the day they’re very sedentary – or maybe they have an active lifestyle and eat well, but they have an extremely drama filled lifestyle and suffer from constant anxiety and stress.
Many people, including myself, choose to use natural medicines as our primary form of healthcare and only use pharmaceuticals as a last resort. That’s wonderful, but again, not a complete picture of a healthy lifestyle.
Whether we choose to pursue wellness or not, we all have an understanding of how precious our health is. If you’re listening to this podcast, you probably try to live a healthier lifestyle than the average American. Your probably not one the people who barrel down a destructive lifestyle path until they’ve hit a crisis state and then they HAVE to adjust.
You either do spend money, time, and energy in learning all you can about healthy lifestyle and natural medicines, or you’re interested in learning.
What’s Missing?
The missing component in all of this is your mindset. Have you thought about investing in your brain as part of your wellness strategy?
I’ve been using homeopathy for about 15 years now. I’ve had such fantastic results in my own family, that I’ve invested a lot of money, time, and energy in my education so that I can help others on the path to restoring their health. But something was missing. It was when I started investing in my brain – getting coached and having a routine self-coaching practice, that really began to initiate a different kind of positive change in my life. I began to have an awareness and develop a skill set to manage my brain and thoughts so that I can reach my full potential. I didn’t realize how many limiting beliefs and blocks I had until I started doing this work.
The problem is that many people downplay the importance of mindset and personal development. The skill of managing your brain is just as important, if not more important than the other things. When you become really good at brain management, you’ll find that it’s easier to implement other elements into a healthy lifestyle. And you’ll probably be happier and reach a higher level of life satisfaction overall.
Self Care
Now, I know that you may be thinking that this sounds kind of selfish or self-indulgent to do this. We can see the benefit of investing in nutrition and exercise, but you may not immediately see the life changing advantages of this kind of work. I want to know that evolving yourself is absolutely the best thing you can do for yourself and everyone in your life.
When you are mentally and emotionally resilient, it allows you to show up as your best self for your spouse, your kids, friends, and everyone you come in contact with. Taking responsibility for your own mental and emotional well-being puts you in control of your outcomes instead of blaming external sources, which is totally dis-empowering.
So, I challenge you to consider investing time in your brain. I don’t mean just reading books (there’s nothing wrong with reading books, but by themselves won’t get you anywhere), but develop a practice of self-coaching.
Self Coaching
If this is the first time you’ve ever heard of this, I just completed a short self-coaching class and I designed it so that you can teach these skills to your kids as well! It includes 3 videos and my notes for each. This is completely free. There are 2 ways to get access to the class:
- Sign up for my email list.
- Join my Facebook group: Inspirited Wellness
I highly encourage everyone to join my email list. This is the best way for me to keep in touch with you and I have some upcoming things that will go out to my email list first.
When you sign up you get automatic access to my Subscriber Insider page, which includes ALL of my special free offerings. I have my Simple Strategies homeopathy training in there, an info graphic, and of course, the Self-Coaching series. You get automatic access to any new freebies I come out with – I’m just going to add them to the page.
Thank you so much for listening. I’d love your feedback on this episode.
Much love and many blessings to you and yours.
